Online and mobile food-ordering company Grubhub is expanding into Chattanooga, joining several other restaurant delivery services.

Previously, Chattanooga restaurants on GrubHub supplied their own couriers to deliver orders from the platform, but now all restaurants can utilize Grubhub drivers.

The company will now offer on-demand food delivery from Choo Choo Bar-B-Que, Mrs. Bs Reggae Café and Taco Mac among others.

Customers will be able to order via the Grubhub Android or iOS apps, or online at

All users can also use the code CHATTFREE for free delivery on their orders starting now through April 19, according to a news release.

The move is part of a bigger national expansion with Grubhub widening its reach into 34 cities across 19 states.

Chattanooga already has a similar service, called Dinner Delivered, and several other similar companies—Uber Eats, Waitr and My Town 2 Go—recently expanded into the area.

A Grubhub spokesperson shared insight into how the company aims to set itself apart from the competition.

Grubhub aims to stand out among the competition in a few ways including their scale and focus on product and technology.

Grubhub deals with one product, food, and they understand it and the technology it takes to process/deliver orders better than anyone else.

Additionally, their scale allows the company to run delivery profitably with an efficiency others can’t.

Grubhub also prides itself in their approach to customer support.

They try to fix everything through technology, but you can’t run a business of this scale without a large workforce dedicated to fixing consumer and restaurant issues.
