PATERSON — Former New York Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz plans to open a fast-food burger restaurant in his hometown of Paterson.

Cruz has entered a partnership with the Krystal Restaurants chain, which is based in an Atlanta suburb, for the Paterson franchise along with four others in New Jersey towns, the company announced Monday.

Krystal did not reveal exactly where in Paterson the Cruz-owned business would be located, but said construction would start in several months. Krystal also did not divulge which four other municipalities would get “Victor Cruz’ Krystal” franchises.
