An Allegheny County borough has made PCMag’s list of the best work-from-home cities for 2021.

Turtle Creek, located 12 miles east of Downtown, ranked seventh out of 60 cities throughout the U.S. and Canada.

The magazine, which features product reviews, tech news, videos and advice, took into account factors such as broadband costs, median home prices, number of coffee shops and parks per 100,000 people, and non-chain restaurants in the area.

Here’s what PCMag has to say about our city:

“Pittsburgh has evolved into a tech-savvy, artsy city, and the eastern suburbs are some of the least expensive places to live in the area, including Turtle Creek but also Monroeville and North Versailles. If you choose to work remotely out of Turtle Creek, you’ll be just 12 miles away from downtown Pittsburgh for a fraction of the cost of living inside the city proper. Even closer is the college-town ambiance from Carnegie Mellon University and University of Pittsburgh, among other top schools. There are plenty of coffee shops and independent restaurants to choose from right in Turtle Creek, as well.”

Chattanooga, Tennessee, took the top spot, followed by Bear Valley Springs, California, and Pawlet, Vermont.
